I don"t know number 4 answer, All the things I konw is about "whom" possition. I think it is not correct. As far as I konw it uses for personaly pronouns(Him/Her).

نكته این سوال كابرد would rather بود؛

وقتی می خواهیم تقدم یا اولویت موردی را نسبت به موردی دیگر بیان كنیم از این ساختار استفاده می كنیم.

هنگام ترجمه هم ترجیح دادن معنی می شه.

مثلاً

I would rather drive

I would rather not drive

2. In order to receive full reimbursement for jewelry that might be stolen, the owner must get all pieces appraised.

در این جمله نكته در استفاده یكی از افعال سببی (causatives)، get بود؛

In a causative, a person doesn’t perform an action directly.

دو حالت مختلف برای این فعل سببی وجود داره: اینكه سبب انجام كار توسط یك شخص شود یا سبب انجام كار روی یك شیء.

مثل:

Let’s get Ralph to go with us.

Let’s get our car fixed first.

3. If dinosaurs had continued roaming the earth, man would have evolved quite differently.

اگر دقت كنید این جمله یك جمله شرطی، برای استفاده در زمان گذشته است كه نتیجه احتمالی از انجام كاری رو میگه؛

و ساختار آن نیز به این شكل است كه: در قسمتی از جمله كه if استفاده می شه از فعل past perfect (یا همان ماضی بعید) و در قسمت بعدی از modal های would – could – might (از بیشترین احتمال تا كمترین احتمال) و فعل present perfect (یا همان ماضی نقلی) استفاده می شه.

نكته كار در این جمله استفاده از ضمیر موصولی (relative pronoun) بود؛

كه در این ساختار which برای اشیاء و who برای اشخاص استفاده می شه.

مثل:

This is someone on line two who would like to speak with you.

This is the new typewriter which you ordered.

5. In today’s competitive markets, even small businesses had better advertise on TV and radio in order to gain a share of the market.

در نهایت نكته جمله آخر استفاده از had better بود؛

كاربرد had better در مورد دادن توصیه برای زمان آینده است. و ساختار آن به این شكل است كه بعد از آن فعل بدون to بكار می ره.

مثل:

You had better take chemistry 600 this semester.

You had better not quit your job until you find another one.
