Today, Thursday 21st of February (2^nd of Esfand), is International Mother Language Day.

The UN cultural organization (UNESCO) has marked this day and made the occasion in 1999.

UNESCO notes more than 50 percent of the world"s 6,000 languages are in danger of disappearing over the next few generations and thousands of languages are overlooked by the world"s educational systems and the Internet. Indeed one of the most dangerous languages for the mother tongues all over the world is English! So you may ask this question why we are so interested to enhance our English abilities in this forum.

I would want to start this Blogish topic in this special day just to emphasize that English language is about to serve us as an auxiliary tool to gain whatever necessary promoting our capabilities as an individual in the worldwide competition, and more than that English has nothing to do with our life, specially when you come to passion, culture and religion related materials.

So in brief, we love our native language, Persian which is the boldest remaining sing of enormous dignity of the ancient Persia – and we will try to bring back its glory, but we want the universe to get acquainted to our civilization, by means of a common communication’s tool: English.

I am pleased to read this…I even did not know that such a day exists!!! It was so much interesting and this topic is great….

I will follow it  everyday.

I would like to ask all people who deal with English or any other languages in the world, those whose native language is Persian, to take care of Persian language…we do have a precious history……..a prideful outstanding language that has resisted against lots of difficulties for many centuries, confronting different cultural attacks...but nowadays I really can not figure out why we have shattered this perfect language both grammatically and lexically..

I do hope we all, hand in hand, try to protect it ...

One of my greatest worries is our precious native language….which has been shattered …

I heard each 15 days a language dies in the world…

It feels really good to see a move-on process going on, especially when what you have done had a bold role (or role, or at least a kind of!) on the progress ...

These days at the end of Iranian year (according to solar calendar) in comparison to the beginning of the current year this forum has all signs of a comprehensive development both in quantity and quality; which we could meter them in terms of “post’s number” and “user’s satisfaction” respectively. Considering the procedure so far; Tebyan’s English forum is so likely to build up to the maximum possible extent in the year ahead. May we can continue the successful recent route and consequently serving others and ourselves; amen.

Why are you crying, a young boy asked his Mom?

"Because I"m a woman," she told him."I don"t understand," he said.His Mom just hugged him and said,

"And you never will, but that"s O.K.".......Later the little boy asked his father,
"Why does Mom seem to cry for no reason?".
"All women cry for no reason," was all his Dad could say......The little boy grew up and became a man,
still wondering why women cry.Finally he put in a call to God and when God got back to him, he asked "God, why do women cry so easily?"GOD answered.... .."When I made woman,
I decided she had to be special.
I made her shoulders
strong enough to carry
the weight of the world, yet,
made her arms gentle enough to give comfort...I gave her the inner strength
to endure childbirth
and the rejection
that many times will come
even from her own children.I gave her a hardness
that allows her
to keep going and take care
of her family and friends,
even when everyone else gives up, through sickness and fatigue without
complaining. ...I gave her the sensitivity to love her children under any and all
circumstances. Even when her child has hurt her badly....She has the very special power to make a child"s boo-boo feel better and
to quell a teenager"s anxieties and fears....I gave her strength to care for her husband, despite faults
and I fashioned her from his rib to protect his heart....I gave her wisdom to know that a good husband never hurts his wife, but
sometimes tests her strengths and her resolve to stand beside him
unfalteringly. ...For all of this hard work,
I also gave her a tear to shed.
It is hers to use
whenever needed and !
it is her only weakness....
When you see her cry,
tell her how much you love her, and all she does for everyone, and even though
she may still cry, you will have made her heart feel good.

She is special!
Please send this to women you know, and those with mothers,
sisters, and special women in their lives.

But, also send this to men so they will understand about what a wonderful thing a woman is.
