The words that we were used to mispronouncing

Let’s begin

Today I was listening to a conversation and came across with this word: ARCHIVE

The way that I was used to pronouncing it: /’ä:rt∫i:v/

But after looking it up I realized that it is: / ’ä:rkaiv/

That was really interesting

So let’s share our mistakes here

May you were not used to pronouncing a word right that others don’t actually know.

OK, my idea is that you has written the word you yourself used to mispronounce it!
I"d never said it: / ’ä:rkaiv/  !

but the word i myself used to mispronounce is "Island""! ha?
i didn"t know that "s" must not be pronounced but now I do!!  

Dear Roo be aseman, That"s great...thank you for making A new topic I remember how I got surprised, when I heard the correct pronunciation of "Archive" the other months. there were several vocabularies which I used to mispronounce, but all slipped my mind right now!

i think this is the most mispronounced word word in Iran!
i used to pronounce it with "sh" sound, but last year i understood that it is pronounced with "ch" sound.
(sry, i don"t know how to write the phonetics!. how do u do that?)
